application and advice

preparation


All surfaces must be clean and free from dust, dirt, oil and contamination. Remove oils/resins from oily hardwoods and resinous softwoods. Sand to a smooth finish and remove all dust.

application


Ensure the product is well mixed but do not shake. Apply 2-3 coats of varnish, with a synthetic varnish brush. On new softwood and porous surfaces dilute the first coat 10% with water. Lightly sand wood in between applications to remove any raising of the grain. For a dead flat finish with high durability, apply two coats of satin followed by one of dead flat. Instructions in the technical data sheet must be followed.

Always apply to a test area before starting work. Appearance may vary according to the colour and type of wood and the number of coats.

Contact with eyes - wash immediately with warm water.
Remove excess from tools and mixing vessels before washing in warm soapy water.
